Cupping (Vacuum) Massage
Cupping, or vacuum massage, is a therapeutic treatment that uses specially designed vacuum cups to stimulate the skin and underlying tissues, promoting circulation and lymphatic flow.
During the massage, medical-grade glass, silicone or plastic cups are used to create controlled vacuum pressure. This helps stimulate blood circulation, improve tissue oxygenation and support metabolic processes.
Cupping massage may help to:
- Improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage;
- Reduce muscle tension and discomfort;
- Improve skin tone and elasticity;
- Reduce the sensation of swelling;
- Improve overall well-being after physical exertion;
- Stimulate microcirculation in the skin and subcutaneous tissues.
The treatment is tailored to each client's individual needs by adjusting the vacuum intensity and massage technique.
Dynamic (Sliding) Cupping Massage
During dynamic cupping massage, the vacuum cup is gently and evenly moved across prepared skin, creating a controlled effect on the underlying tissues. This technique is particularly useful for areas where deeper stimulation of muscles and subcutaneous tissues is desired.
The massage can be performed on different areas of the body, including the back, neck, abdomen, buttocks and thighs.
Temporary redness or bruising may occur after the procedure. This is an individual response of the body to vacuum stimulation.
When May Cupping Massage Be Suitable?
Cupping massage may be a suitable choice if you wish to:
- Improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage;
- Reduce muscle tension;
- Improve skin tone and elasticity;
- Promote relaxation and overall well-being;
- Complement body care and rehabilitation processes.
When Is Vacuum Massage Not Recommended?
The treatment is not recommended in cases of acute inflammation, infectious diseases, skin damage or other health conditions where cupping massage may be contraindicated.
Before starting the treatment, please inform the specialist about your health condition, medications you are taking and any other relevant health considerations.
If you are unsure whether the treatment is suitable for you, consult your doctor or massage specialist.
