Trance Massage
Trance Massage is a gentle body therapy technique inspired by Burmese head massage techniques. It combines massage of the head, neck and shoulder area, as well as the paravertebral region, helping the client enter a state of deep relaxation and trance.
The uniqueness of this technique lies in the fact that the therapist supports and holds the client's head throughout most of the treatment while performing small, dynamic and unpredictable movements along different trajectories.
This approach allows the client to stop consciously holding and controlling their head, enabling the neck muscles to relax completely – something that rarely happens in everyday life. Even during sleep, the neck muscles often retain a certain level of tension.
In addition to passive, free-flowing movements, the treatment includes kneading techniques, with particular attention given to the trapezius muscles, as well as stimulation of biologically active points in the face, shoulder, chest and back areas.
How Does It Work?
Technique: The therapist uses slow, rhythmic and smooth movements.
Effect: The brain gradually shifts from active thinking towards a state of calm and relaxation. The client may experience a state between wakefulness and sleep.
Duration: The treatment usually lasts approximately 20–30 minutes.
